La Spire est un carnet grand format, façonné en spirale pour se déployer et dévoiler une centaine de tuiles aquarellées une à une, agencées comme une cartographie céleste éclatée.
Lorsque l’objet est ouvert, chaque fragment se déplie dans un mouvement lent, presque organique.

Un texte mélancolique, écrit lui aussi en marge du challenge WAT 2025 sur le thème Civilisation perdue, s’inscrit désormais au cœur de la spirale. Plus qu’une histoire, il esquisse un voyage : galaxies effacées, mondes éteints, traces en suspens.
Texte et peinture se répondent, sans tout expliquer, laissant place à l’imaginaire et à la rêverie.

Et puis la spirale se referme, mais le mouvement persiste.
Et on se surprend à rêver d’exploration.

The Spire is a large-format artist’s book, shaped as a spiral that unfurls to reveal a hundred watercolor tiles, each painted by hand and arranged like a shattered celestial map.
When the object is opened, every fragment unfolds in a slow, almost organic movement.

A melancholic text, also written alongside the WAT 2025 challenge on the theme Lost Civilization, now runs through the heart of the spiral. (French only – readers may use a translation tool if they wish). More than a story, it sketches a journey: erased galaxies, extinguished worlds, lingering traces.
Text and painting answer each other without explaining everything, leaving room for imagination and reverie.

Then the spiral closes again, yet the movement persists.
And one finds oneself dreaming of exploration.
